ABOUT Heliophysics Hackweek 2020

*Responding to current Covid-related travel restrictions, the HW20 Planning Team has postponed the date of the hackweek to Aug. 3 – 7, 2020 at the University of Maryland. We have also extended the deadline for *new* applications to May 1, 2020. There is no need to resubmit (or withdraw) an application. After the new application deadline in May, we will reach out to all applicants to reconfirm their interest in participating. We are also monitoring the Covid-19 situation and will make changes as necessary. Any other changes and updates will be announced 1) on the HW20 GItHub page (https://heliohackweek.github.io/ ) and 2) by email to applicants, as the situation evolves.

Heliophysics Hackweek 2020 is a five-day hackweek to be held at the University of Maryland.
Participants will learn about technologies used to access and process heliophysics data with a focus on
machine learning. The format will consist of project pitches, interactive lectures,
facilitated exploration of datasets, and hands-on software development.
